We use Brusso solid brass hinges on our products! Their beauty and durability are renowned among woodworking professionals.  We DON'T use cheaply stamped metal hinges with brass or silver finish. They tarnish/rust and will wear out in time. 

Five coats of hand-applied varnish finish on this wonderfully functional wooden piece, protecting the solid wood. Keeping it beautifully durable for decades to come.
