Some friends of ours own a small camp along Stony Fork Creek south of Wellsboro in north central Pennsylvania. Their land slopes gently down to this beautiful spot where the water has flowed between these rocks for thousands of years. I spent one peaceful day drawing this scene while sitting on a rock that jutted out over this stream like a shelf.  While I was drawing, a mother merganser and three of her chicks floated past my rock so close that I could have reached out and touched them. As I absorbed the peacefulness and serene beauty of this place, I could understand completely why Chris and Charley loved to spend their weekends here just sitting around the campfire swapping stories with their friends…. and of course, laughing in this incredible place.
