Repeated leaflet motifs inside a border of viridian green surround a spring green center on this hand-painted silk scarf. The fern elements were handdrawn onto stretched silk using gutta which resists the silk dyes allowing detailed images to be embedded into the silk fibers.
The dyes are steam set allowing this unique 8x54" silk scarf celebrating Penn's Woods to be handwashable.
