As summer comes to an end and the leaves begin to change, we welcome in another beautiful fall season in the PA Wilds. The nights turn cooler, thoughts turn to picking pumpkins or apples, the furnaces kick on for the first time and long sleeves replace tank tops.

Here in the PA Wilds, we’re fortunate to be able to experience the full beauty of each season: summers full of sunshine, the fall leaves and crisp autumn air, magical snow-covered winter landscapes and the blossoming of new life in spring. Appreciate each season for what it brings, and make new memories in nature with your family and friends.

Each mug is unique in color and design. This piece is made of brown earthenware clay, kiln fired twice. Glazed with non-toxic glazes and is food safe. Can also be microwaved and hold liquids. Each mug holds between 12-16 ounces.

Looking for something a little more refined for your fall wardrobe? Match those earth tones with a scarf literally dyed with the natural color of rust while including a bit of PA Wilds history in this 100 percent silk scarf. Crafted by hand in McKean County sunshine by artist Julie Mader, this scarf design is an actual rust "print" made using retired fencing from the historic Dr. McCleery Wolf Farm located in Kane, Pennsylvania. This unique product is the result of a collaboration between the artist and the McCleery Wolf Center.

Beeswax Honey Lotion

Rich Valley Apiary’s honey and beeswax lotion is one of their most popular products. Its texture and scent keep your skin nourished for hours, with natural ingredients like honey, beeswax, mango butter and coconut oil. Although they have a variety of individual scents with blends of therapeutic grade essential oils, one seasonal scent for fall is their Autumn Spice blend, featuring clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange essential oils.

Heartwood

As thousands of “leaf peepers” flock to the PA Wilds to view our trees and their changing colors, we’re also reminded of how historically those trees were used to literally build our nation. Heartwood, a novel by PJ Piccirillo, is a careful rendering of the region's industrial and timbering boom. This inspiring and heart-rending novel traces the intertwined lives of two men with common roots in the rugged timbering industry of north central Pennsylvania, but whose destinies and loves turn them against each other.
