As summer comes to an end and the leaves begin to change, we welcome in another beautiful fall season in the PA Wilds. The nights turn cooler, thoughts turn to picking pumpkins or apples, the furnaces kick on for the first time and long sleeves replace tank tops.
Here in the PA Wilds, we’re fortunate to be able to experience the full beauty of each season: summers full of sunshine, the fall leaves and crisp autumn air, magical snow-covered winter landscapes and the blossoming of new life in spring. Appreciate each season for what it brings, and make new memories in nature with your family and friends.

Fall Leaves Jabebo Earrings
What better way to celebrate fall than with some leaves you can actually wear? Jabebo’s Fall Leaves design has a beautiful mix of fall leaf color changes along with a cute brown mouse hiding in the leaves. Jabebo Studio created these images specially for these earrings. The detailed artwork and mismatched themes spark curiosity and interesting conversations. On the reverse side of the product you can see evidence of the cereal box used in the construction. They are perfect for environmental educators, scientists, and nature enthusiasts.
Sabra Blend Coffee
As temperatures get chillier, it can be more difficult to convince yourself to get out of bed and put your feet on the cold floor in the morning. Alabaster Coffee’s Sabra blend might be just the thing you need to warm yourself up and start the day on the right note. Whether made into a typical cup or as an excellent espresso, the framework for Sabra is a flavor profile that is sweet with a syrupy body and a vibrant finish. The current iteration is a blend of Colombian & Brazilian coffees. Includes a full and crisp body, with notes of dark cocoa and cherry.
Midnight Tree Line Mug
But where will you pour that delicious cup of coffee on a chilly fall morning? This is one-of-a-kind ceramic mug was created by Jilla Ceramics on a pottery wheel in the PA Wilds. Each mug is unique in color and design. This piece is made of brown earthenware clay, kiln fired twice. Glazed with non-toxic glazes and is food safe. Can also be microwaved and hold liquids. Each mug holds between 12-16 ounces.
Jumbo Kinzua Reservoir in Autumn Puzzle
Let your love of autumn shine through with this 1,000-piece puzzle that showcases the Kinzua Reservoir! The varied colors of the fall leaves make this puzzle challenging yet beautiful. Match those earth tones with a scarf literally dyed with the natural color of rust while including a bit of PA Wilds history in this 100 percent silk scarf. Crafted by hand in McKean County sunshine by artist Julie Mader, this scarf design is an actual rust "print" made using retired fencing from the historic Dr. McCleery Wolf Farm located in Kane, Pennsylvania. This unique product is the result of a collaboration between the artist and the McCleery Wolf Center.
Beeswax Honey Lotion
Rich Valley Apiary’s honey and beeswax lotion is one of their most popular products. Its texture and scent keep your skin nourished for hours, with natural ingredients like honey, beeswax, mango butter and coconut oil. Although they have a variety of individual scents with blends of therapeutic grade essential oils, one seasonal scent for fall is their Autumn Spice blend, featuring clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange essential oils.
As thousands of “leaf peepers” flock to the PA Wilds to view our trees and their changing colors, we’re also reminded of how historically those trees were used to literally build our nation. Heartwood, a novel by PJ Piccirillo, is a careful rendering of the region's industrial and timbering boom.
